Natalie Woods, in "Gypsy," starts off equally a shy, untalented niggling girl whose mother is pushing her to become a successful vaudeville entertainer, too as her sister.  Her sister finally rebels and runs off and elopes while Louise (Natalie) puts up with her female parent "for a while," turning from vaudeville to a stripper act in a tertiary-rate burlesque club.  And then, with assistance from the other strippers, she learns how to portray herself with a "gimmick," which proves to be successful for her as she progresses to bigger stages.  It's then she tells her mother to basically "get lost."  Of course, little is shown in this 1962 film -- dissimilar today's movies.

Starring in one of the most entertaining movies of the 1970s, Olivia Newton-John really puts her talent to work in "Grease."  With her musical talent, she non but sings in this film but also dances her eye out.  Her and John Travolta are dynamite in this movie, singing and dancing together; while, at the same time, toying with each other's emotions as they fine-tune their relationship in their grapheme roles.  It's a very fun, low-cal-hearted (most of the time) movie!  Recently, on August 15, 2018, the ii showed upwardly for the 40th anniversary of Grease at the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre in Beverly Hills.
